PSA of the Day: Requiem for a Dream director Darren Aronofsky knows a thing or two about scaring the ever-living drug use out of the average moviegoer. Which is probably why he was tapped to direct a handful of anti-meth PSA for the Meth Project.

itsnotthatdeep: The future of our youth starts with us, correct? Zurana Horton was killed shielding her child and several other children from gun shots in Brooklyn a few days ago. She leaves behind 12 kids and was pregnant with another. A woman I found on twitter by the name of Patricia Falona and her family are hosting a “Winter Wonderland” for the Horton children. All she asks is gifts for the children (no monetary donations) or some time that you could volunteer helping out at the venue. We are really trying to make this holiday season special for these children. If you’re interested in helping in any way, please let me know! We talk so much about what we can do to make this world a better place, but people rarely act on their words. I’ll be volunteering in Brooklyn this Christmas for Zurana Horton and her family.
